Data Deletion Instructions

1. How to delete your SmartBudget data

SmartBudget stores most budgeting data locally on your device. You can delete your data using one of the following methods:

1. Delete entries manually inside the app, such as transactions, accounts, budgets, and recurring items.
2. Clear the app's local storage from your Android device settings.
3. Uninstall the SmartBudget app from your device.

If you created manual backup or export files, you must also delete those files yourself from the location where you saved or shared them.

2. Data that is deleted

When you clear the app's data or uninstall the app, the following local SmartBudget data is removed from your device:

• Transactions and notes
• Accounts and balances
• Budgets and recurring transactions
• App settings and preferences
• Local premium state stored on the device

3. Data that may not be deleted by uninstalling the app

Some data is controlled by third-party services and is not deleted by removing the app from your device:

• Google Play purchase and subscription records are managed by Google Play under Google's own retention practices.
• Advertising-related data processed by Google AdMob is managed by Google under Google's own systems and policies.
• Backup or export files that you manually saved outside the app remain where you stored them until you delete them.

4. Retention period

SmartBudget does not keep a developer-hosted copy of your budgeting database. Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.

Third-party service providers such as Google may retain certain records according to their own legal, billing, security, and operational requirements.
