Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how users of the SmartBudget Android app can delete their data and what data may remain with third-party service providers.

1. How to delete your SmartBudget data

SmartBudget stores most budgeting data locally on your device. You can delete your data using one of the following methods:

  1. Delete entries manually inside the app, such as transactions, accounts, budgets, and recurring items.
  2. Clear the app's local storage from your Android device settings.
  3. Uninstall the SmartBudget app from your device.

If you created manual backup or export files, you must also delete those files yourself from the location where you saved or shared them.

SmartBudget does not keep a developer-hosted copy of your budgeting database. Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.

Third-party service providers such as Google may retain certain records according to their own legal, billing, security, and operational requirements.
